Vista Hill
Vista Hill is a San Diego organization dedicated to serving the individuals, families and communities of San Diego County. By providing a diverse array of programs free of charge or for a nominal fee, Vista Hill helps families through the most challenging circumstances. These programs involve a wide range of treatment including early intervention and preventative work and long-term special education and training. Vista Hill helps families develop healthy and supportive relationships.
If you or a family member are experiencing interpersonal relationship issues that are interfering with school, home or community, Vista Hill can help. Vista Hill offers anger management for parents, adults, and children upon request to provide early intervention, prevention, and educational support.
Is substance abuse causing a rift in your family? Currently, Vista Hill is providing a community service program called S.A.F.I.R. (Supporting Adolescents and Families in Recovery). S.A.F.I.R. is an ongoing family support group that embraces a “family participation” model designed to encourage the entire family to work together on resolutions.
Vista Hill also offers a program specifically designed to work with teens through common teenage struggles. In a 6-week educational program, teens are taught, “skills for handing stress, friendships, school and other issues.” In the parental counterpart of the program, parents are taught how to communicate and bond with their teen. In addition to teen programs, Vista Hill offers a community service program called Parenting Skills. This program is a series of educational/support groups addressing infant care issues all the way through tough adolescent problems.
